Generally, the mediator is called upon to intervene in disputes in which the parties have taken an adversarial approach to dealing with their conflict and have clearly identified positions on the issues and their desired outcomes. The role of the mediator is to help the parties move from their adversarial positions to an interest based, problem-solving strategy.

Upon completion of the course, you will be able to conduct a complete mediation, employing the skills, strategies, and processes outlined above.  Mediation is a process and you will be confident with  professional opening statements, confidentiality, parties opening statements, listening skills, reframing, negotiations, conflict resolution, conclusions and drafting professional mediated agreements.

Earn an Excellent Income Mediators in the United States earn $150.00-$250 per hour only working a few days a week. Mediation fees range from as $250- $1500 per day. The fee is based on the number of parties and length of the mediation. You will set your own hours and determine your prices in your practice.​

The online course is built so you may go at your own pace.  And although you are going at your own pace, you are not alone.  You will contact the Director after each lesson to get clarification on subject matter and to go over the reading materials in detail.
