The Mediation Training Center Welcomes You!
The Mediation Training Center offers educational and highly interactive Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil, Family and Appellate mediation training programs and Florida Supreme Court Approved Court-Appointed Arbitrator training programs. These dynamic programs provide the fundamentals required for those interested in becoming certified mediators and qualified arbitrators, as well as, for anyone aspiring to include mediation or arbitration skills as part of their professional career.
We also offer Continuing Mediator Education Seminars to enable you to fulfill your CME mediator certification renewal requirements. These seminars also qualify for CLE and CEU credits.
In 2014 we will be introducing Parenting Coordinator Trainings in Fort Lauderdale and Orlando.
Important Mediator Certification Information!
On November 15, 2007 the Florida Supreme Court removed The Florida Bar membership requirement to become a Certified Circuit Civil Mediator!
In 2006 the Florida Supreme Court amended the Florida Rules for Certified and Court-Appointed Mediators and adopted a point-based certification system.
Important Arbitrator Qualification Information!
There is no mentorship requirement in order to become a Florida Supreme Court Qualified Arbitrator.
Our Fort Lauderdale trainings are offered at the main campus of Nova Southeastern University in Davie. These programs are also offered in Orlando at Barry University School of Law.
We offer our 8 hour Continuing Mediator Education Seminars [CME/CLE/CEU credits] in Fort Lauderdale, Orlando and also in Boca Raton at the new Downtown Library.
In each course participants receive a meticulously prepared training manual written specifically to meet the Supreme Court of Florida mediation and arbitrator training standards, and which serves as a useful practitioner's guide after the training is completed. Essential forms which are invaluable in building a mediation and arbitration practice are integrated into the course materials.
Mediation Training Role Play Experience
As part of every Circuit Civil and Family Mediation training program, each participant will be observed by a certified mediator during role play simulations and will receive personalized oral and written critiques from their Role Play Coach.
Continuing Mediator Education
Committed to providing a thorough mediation training experience, the Mediation Training Center presents Continuing Mediator Education programs offering certified mediators opportunities to refine and expand their mediation skills and techniques. These programs are offered in Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton and Orlando and qualify for CME/CLE/CEU credits.
